Day 3: ATHENS-CORINTH CANAL-EPIDAUROS-NAFPLION-MYCENAE-OLYMPIA
Pass Βy Canal of Corinth. The Corinth Canal connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland, arguably making the peninsula an island. The canal was dug through the Isthmus at sea level and has no locks.
Visit the Ancient Theatre, world-famous for its outstanding acoustics. The famous ancient theatre of Epidaurus was constructed in the late 4th century BC, around the time when Athens was flourishing in art, philosophy, science and of course theatre and can seat more than 12,000 spectators.
One of the most beautiful towns in the area of Argolis (in eastern Peloponnese) as well as one of the most romantic cities all over Greece, Nafplio was the first capital of the newly born Greek state between 1823 and 1834.

Mycenae (Μυκήνες) is one of the most important archaeological sites of Greece. Visiting the famous Palace, the Lions Gate and the Tomb of King Agamemnon. Mycenae is the largest and most important center of the civilization that was named “Mycenaean” after this very citadel. Olympia became the most important religious and athletic center in Greece. Its fame rests upon the Olympic Games, the greatest national festival and a highly prestigious one world-wide, which was held every four years to honor Zeus.
Visit Archaeological Museum of Olympia is a must, as it has some of the most important works of classical art such as the sculpted decoration of the temple of Zeus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the statue of Nike by Paionios and the famous Hermes of Praxiteles is major museum’s masterpieces. Equally important is the bronze collection, the richest of its kind in the world.

Day 6: DELPHI-KALABAKA
Delphi was truly a Pan-Hellenic site for the ancient Greeks; they all gathered here to celebrate Apollo and to get practical advice from the Pythia, the priestess. Aside from its historical importance, Delphi is a wondrously beautiful place. Morning visits the museum and the ruins of Delphi.
Delphi Archaeological Museum is one of the principal museums of Greece and one of the most visited. Mainly because of the breadth and quality of artifacts it includes. The permanent exhibition covers over a thousand years, from the Mycenaean era to the Greco-Roman times.

Day 7: KALABAKA-METEORA
Meteora is in a region of almost inaccessible sandstone peaks, monks settled on these ‘columns of the sky’ from the 11th century onwards. Twenty-four of these monasteries were built, despite incredible difficulties, at the time of the great revival of the eremetic ideal in the 15th century. Their 16th-century frescoes mark a key stage in the development of post-Byzantine painting.
Return to Athens, passing the heroic monument of Leonidas of Sparta at Thermopylae. The Battle of Thermopylae is one of the most important battles in Greek and world history.
Meals included: • Breakfast • Dinner
Accommodation included: Overnight at Athens in 4* in Hotel
Day 8: ONE DAY CRUISE FROM POROS-HYDRA-AEGINA
First, stop Poros. Poros’ neoclassical buildings ascend the town’s hill like seats in an amphitheater. Walking through the narrow alleyways, among whitewashed houses wrapped in bougainvilleas, you’ll travel back in time. Stop at Hydra, Hydra, Saronic Gulf Islands, Attica Hydra, built in the shape of an amphitheater on a slope overlooking the Argosaronic gulf, is one of the most romantic destinations in Greece. Traditional stone mansions, narrow cobblestoned streets, secluded squares and above all the banning of cars and the use of around 500 donkeys as means of public transportation, explain the reason why Hydra preserved its distinctive atmosphere through the passage of time.
Stop at Aegina. Even though the island small, it boasts a great number of sights and natural beauties, a highlight of which is the famous Aphaia Temple. It forms, in fact, an equilateral triangle with the Parthenon and the Temple of Poseidon at Sounion, the so-called “holy triangle” of antiquity. Aegina town, the capital of the island, stands out for its well-preserved buildings.
